Five focused tools

What do you need to change?

Each tool has one job, its own controls and a previewable MP3 result. Pick the task that matches the file in front of you.

Useful before you edit

Start with the question you actually have.

These short guides explain the choices behind the tools, from keeping natural pauses to avoiding clipping in a louder export.

What happens to your file

The work stays in your browser.

01

Media is not uploaded

The current local tools do not send selected media, filenames, waveforms or results to AudioCut servers.

02

You make a separate result

Your source file stays unchanged. AudioCut creates a temporary MP3 result that you can preview and choose to download.

03

There is no account gate

These five browser-based tools are free. Closing or refreshing the page clears the working session from browser memory.

Common questions

Before you choose a file.

Do I need an account to use AudioCut?

No. The five tools currently listed on AudioCut are free to use and do not ask you to create an account.

Does AudioCut upload my file?

No. The current tools process supported media in this browser and do not send the selected file, filename, waveform or result to AudioCut servers.

Which files can I choose?

AudioCut accepts common audio files such as MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC, OGG and Opus, plus MP4, MOV and WebM when the browser can decode their audio track. Support can still vary with the codec and available device memory.

Can I edit a video's picture as well as its sound?

No. When you choose a supported video, AudioCut works with its audio track and exports a new MP3. It does not edit or preserve the video picture.

Will AudioCut change my original file?

No. Your source file stays as it is. AudioCut creates a separate MP3 result that you can preview and choose to download.

Can I use AudioCut on a phone?

AudioCut runs in a modern browser. A particular file still depends on the browser's codec support and the memory available on the device, so try a short copy before relying on it for an important edit.
