Check duration and pitch together
Pick a rate you can use
Choose 0.75×, 1×, 1.25× or 1.5× and listen to a representative passage. The tool changes playback rate, so a faster version has a higher pitch and a slower one has a lower pitch. If preserving the original voice pitch is essential, this control does not provide that behavior.
Work out the new duration
Divide the retained source duration by the chosen rate. A 60-second passage at 1.25× takes about 48 seconds; at 0.75× it takes about 80 seconds. Actual output frame counts involve rounding. Cuts, if you made any, change the retained duration before this calculation.
Listen before committing to an export
Check whether words remain easy to follow and whether the new voice sound fits your use. Export MP3 and test it in the intended player. Keep the source so a later revision does not require re-encoding an already changed version.

Which playback speeds can I use?
The current tool offers 0.75×, 1×, 1.25× and 1.5×. It shows the expected duration before you process the file.
Does changing speed also change pitch?
Yes. In the current 0.75× to 1.5× mode, pitch changes naturally with playback speed. Pitch preservation is not available in this version.
Can I speed up a voice memo before I share it?
Choose 0.75×, 1×, 1.25× or 1.5× in Adjust settings. Make manual cuts and listen directly before exporting MP3.
How does speed change the duration?
Faster playback makes the exported audio shorter, while slower playback makes it longer. AudioCut shows the expected duration for the speed you select.
Can I change the speed of audio from a video?
You can use a supported video's audio track as the source. AudioCut exports the adjusted audio as MP3 and does not preserve the video picture.
Is my original file changed when I change speed?
The original file stays unchanged. Listen to the processed audio, then export a separate MP3.
