Questions people ask
Audio speed questions
Which playback speeds can I use?
The current tool offers 0.75×, 1×, 1.25× and 1.5×. It shows the expected duration before you process the file.
Does changing speed also change pitch?
Yes. In the current 0.75× to 1.5× mode, pitch changes naturally with playback speed. Pitch preservation is not available in this version.
Can I speed up a voice memo before I share it?
Yes, if the browser can decode the file. Choose a speed, create the MP3 result and listen to it before downloading.
How does speed change the duration?
Faster playback makes the exported audio shorter, while slower playback makes it longer. AudioCut shows the expected duration for the speed you select.
Can I change the speed of audio from a video?
You can use a supported video's audio track as the source. AudioCut exports the adjusted audio as MP3 and does not preserve the video picture.
Is my original file changed when I change speed?
No. AudioCut leaves the original file alone and creates a separate MP3 result for you to preview.
