Open Audio Trimmer, select the unwanted section on the waveform and delete it. Listen across the new join before exporting. To keep only an excerpt, set the export range as well as any cuts within it.
Find the passage before you cut
Listen to the original and locate the start and end of the mistake. Zoom in when you need to distinguish a short pause from a word ending. The goal is a meaningful boundary, not simply a visually quiet point.
For example, if a repeated phrase runs from 8 to 11 seconds, removing that three-second span makes a 20-second recording approximately 17 seconds long. Check that the second attempt remains complete.
Delete, review and restore
Drag a selection on the waveform and use the delete-selection control or the available editing menu. Switch to Processed audio and play around the join. If the cut is too wide, undo it or restore the affected selection, then choose a narrower boundary.
You can delete several sections. Make each decision separately and listen again after a few edits. Removing every pause can make a speaker difficult to follow even when no words are missing.
- Start slightly before the problem so you can hear the approach.
- End after the join so you can judge the transition.
- Restore a pause if it carries emphasis or separates ideas.
Export a podcast excerpt
To make a short shareable clip, set the export start and end around the excerpt. Cuts inside that range still apply. Export bounds decide which part of the source is included; the selected deletion decides what is removed within it.
Preview the very first word and the final syllable. A tight range can clip them even if your middle edits are correct. Export MP3, then open the result in the player or app where the clip will be used.
Keep an edit record for longer recordings
Note the source timecode, what was wrong and whether you kept or cut it. A short decision log is useful when several similar takes occur in a long interview. It also helps you return to the original source instead of repeatedly editing a compressed export.
This is manual trimming. If the recurring problem is long quiet gaps, Silence Remover can detect candidates, but those candidates still need review.

No. The edit is held in the browser session and export creates a new file.
Can I undo after closing the tab?
