How to extract audio from an MP4 without keeping the video
Sometimes the useful part of a video is a lecture, an interview, a meeting or a music reference you are allowed to use. AudioCut can make an MP3 from an audio track the browser can decode; it does not make a new video.

These steps describe the current AudioCut workflow, including where a result needs your own review before download.

Choose the video
Use an MP4, MOV or WebM file that contains audio. The browser still needs to recognize the actual codec inside the file.

Pick the audio you want
When the video exposes multiple audio tracks, AudioCut lets you select one. Check the language or track label before you continue; an unsupported codec will show an error instead of a result.

Select a bitrate and listen
A higher MP3 bitrate makes a larger file. Create the result, preview it and download it only when it is the audio you expected.

- MP3 is a lossy audio format, and conversion may re-encode the original audio track.
- Protected, encrypted or unsupported codecs cannot be converted by the current browser-based tool.
